(NOT A DAY TRADING QUESTION LIKE MY PREVIOUS QUE’S WERE).. I have read a few full books now that focus directly on chart analysis and technical analysis (stock market). However, none of the books gave any specific information on how to go about finding charts with the desired bullish patterns/trends/breakouts etc. They did mention that I would need to analyze the market averages (DJIA, NASDAQ, NYSE etc) to find the one with the smallest downslides (considering the market falls together and rises together, so when it falls, look for the market average that fell the least?) cuz that is where the smart money will be, and then to find out which index of that market is the best, And then to find the best individual stock. However, the bookS said nothing about how to go about doing any of that.. which is really the most important part. Can somebody please teach me how to do this. I have been searching blindly through charts of random companies, and feel I am wasting way to much time, not finding anything that looks too good. ALSO, If anybody wants to mail me directly with tips of charts that may be promising, I will be more than busting my b..rain to return the favor (finding a good hit). Any and all tips etc would be greatly appreciated and returned. However, the most important thing right now, is how do I find where the big money is!? Thank you

ok im in 11th grade and i’m researching different stocks. now im suppose to use yahoo finance for this project. our teacher says we start off with ,000 in cash.i’m only allowed to invest into 2 companies on the stock market 1 on the NYSE and 1 on NASDAQ.im allowed to divide the ,000 between those 2 stocks anyway i like. i also have to calculate how many shares of stock that im able to buy. then i must subtract the brokers fee. im thinking of using chevron as one of my choices. my question is if the stock market were to crash what would be some companies that would still move along without being affected. sorry if im not making much sense i’m having a hard time understanding this stock market stuff. thank you.

Can someone explain to me in the most simplest of terms the connection between the stock market, the listed company and the benefit to the company when the price goes up and down in the stock market?

I understand the bit about the company listing in the stock exchange to raise more capital etc, I understand that from O’ Level Commerce, but tell me more, how does it benefit the company when the price fluctuates.

Say for example:

Company "A" lists in the NASDAQ, and floats its shares at US per share. It sells one million shares, and raises one million dollars. Then 2 weeks later the market or the Index goes up a 1000 points as a result the price of this share is now worth US.20 So, now in the stock market the total worth of the company is 1.2 Million dollars. The share holders obviously will make money if they sell now. But what is the benefit to the company itself. The worth of the company is simply raised up due to a trend in the market rather than as a result of some new
